Angels Weep

Innocent love so simple so pure,

ordained from above holy, and secure.

A kiss of soft lips, deep gazing of eyes,

arouse passionate love complete with sighs.

Elevating the soul to breathtaking heights,

dreams become reality in star-filled nights.

Unrivaled happiness for the remainder of days,

loneliness past no longer a part of life’s ways.

When in swirling autumn leaves a spectre appears,

cloaked in the fog of years past confessing love with tears.

With a dagger thrust into a heart so deep,

Demons awaken and Angels weep.

Love’s innocence lost, battered, and bruised,

refuses to give up, though bewildered and confused.

For love clings tightly to the kiss of soft lips, deep gazing of eyes,

Forever and always knowing love never dies.
