After his diagnosis, A.C. went all in: he became a Parkinson’s Foundation (PF) Reasearch Advocate, joined the PF People with Parkinson’s Advisory Council for a three-year term, participated in more than thirty studies and clinical trials, became a speaker at numerous conferences, advocated for research funding in Washington DC numerous times, leads a support group, reviews research grant fproposals, writes a monthly column about PD, participates as a member of the OHSU Parkinson’s Advisory Council and serves as an Ambassador for the World Parkinson Congress in both 2019 (Kyoto, Japan) and 2023 (Barcelona Spain).
