Chuck Vandenberg

Chuck lives with his family of five in Victor, New York. He was diagnosed in 2018 at age 50, when he was told he’d probably had Parkinson’s for five years. Once an avid biker and runner, he now spends more time hitting the heavy bag, but he is still drawn to the outdoors. Fishing is a favorite pastime.

An English teacher, he enjoys writing and reading. Poetry has been a steady interest, and lately he’s tried his hand at short fiction. He serves as co-advisor to the high-school literary and art magazine. In this role, he helps select student artwork, poetry, photography, and short stories. Ultimately, he enjoys contemplating all forms of artistic expression.

His most rewarding work, however, has been the parenting of three children.
