My Semaphore project and book examine the shift in my perspective after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Through images, I consider what it means to integrate this life-altering information into my sense of self. Light draws a path. Optimism is key. I lean into nurturing to thrive—the instinct that led me to shoot Untitled 9920. With Semaphore, I aim to raise awareness about Parkinson’s and connect with others whose journeys also require growth, patience, and perseverance to move forward.
