Portrait of Piper

My artwork now focuses on the bold use of color and abstraction. When I start a new painting I never know when it will take me. I start by blocking in the basic form of the model and then let the color and massing take over. I am totally enamored with the human face and body. As my Parkinson’s has progressed I’ve had to develop new ways to work around my hand tremor. It is my intention to keep adapting my technique so that I can keep painting, even if my work has to become totally abstract.
