Distorted Perceptions

This piece was part of an national juried exhibition at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in RI. The exhibition was the centerpiece of the National CSF Symposium, “From Canvas to Clinic – Artistic Management of Cerebrospinal Fluid Disorders.” The conference focused on artwork interpreting the physical, emotional and psychological toll on patients and families experiencing one of the cerebrospinal fluid disorders.

Michele’s piece highlights the distorted perceptions one is subject to due to brain disease (i.e., you hear things louder than they are with PD. The result is speaking softer than you think. LSVT Loud is a therapy used to offset this).
