Naomi Estolas

Hello, my name is Naomi and I am honored to be one of the global WPC Parkinson’s ambassadors. I am also an advocate raising awareness and helping others around the world. I received my diagnosis over 11 years ago, and like many, my symptoms go back even further. Life is full of ups and downs along with challenges. Each person chooses how they want to live their life. I choose to live my life to the fullest and always do the best I can.

I have always enjoyed being creative. After receiving my diagnosis with Parkinson’s, my creativity soared to a new level. I lead ‘Soaring with Hope’ (SWH), an art installation displayed at the 2019 Kyoto Japan WPC. The result was a magical forest of hope where we displayed 16,000 hand folded origami cranes that we collected from 39 countries suspended from colorful and vibrant umbrellas. And over half of the cranes had messages of hope written on their wings. My personal art creativity includes ceramics, sewing, shibori style tie dye, and taking pictures where I vision the best angle and capture the moment.
