Kevin T. Boekhoff

Kevin lives in Farmington, NM, with his wife and their Yorkshire Terrier, T. Bone Dickens – both find their way into the pages of his books. He is 62 years old and was diagnosed in 2009 with Parkinson’s disease, although he lived with it for years prior. He is an ordained Baptist pastor and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in theology. He served as a pastor of a Baptist church in North Idaho for ten years.

After losing his job, he found himself unable to continue his hobby of fixing and repainting cars. He turned to writing. He always enjoyed creative writing, but rarely did it. He found that he felt physically better when he wrote creatively. He describes it as fun. He began writing his memoirs and submitted stories to magazines. He found others liked them and published them. He has won eight awards at Humorpress.com and one at the Storyteller. He finds writing therapeutic and it fits into an unpredictable schedule – he writes what he can, when he can.

He currently has five books, “I Forgot That I Remembered,” a humorous look at his life with Parkinson’s disease, “Just Me: Humorous, Helpful and Odd” which consists of stories from throughout his life, his gospel ventriloquism book, “I Know What You Know, Adventures in Gospel Ventriloquism” featuring Youtube links to the scripts in the book, “Tugs & Nudges” a devotional book and “Laddy’s New Life” a children’s book. Since he is continuing to write, stand by for future books.

He also builds ventriloquist puppets and does ventriloquism.
