Keri Shaw

Keri is an abstract painter from Austin, Texas, a former competitive athlete turned accidental artist. After a diagnosis of young-onset Parkinson’s, sleepless nights drew her to the canvas, where painting became both release and reinvention.
A fearless paint slinger, Keri approaches each canvas with instinct and no expectations. There is a naivety in her process that invites freedom, allowing bold gestures and vibrant color to take over. Pink, in particular, has become her signature, embraced both for its joy and its ability to spark dopamine, the very chemical Parkinson’s depletes.
Her paintings result in lightness and joy, not only through color but also through their airiness and sense of play. Driven by her commitment to finding light in the everyday and fueled by the love of her two daughters, Keri paints with both grit and grace.
