FREDY YOANNY RAMIREZ CIFUENTES

I am Colombian, 50 years old, married and a Biology teacher. Since 2017, I have been living with Parkinson’s disease and have volunteered with several foundations in the Americas that work to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s in the community. I am also an ambassador for the DPF (Davis Phinney Foundation). Over the past eight years, I have discovered various lessons through art: a way to thank people who have helped me in my life, a space of calm and freedom to cope with my condition, a form of self-love and resilience therapy, a search for my own style to express how I live my reality after my diagnosis, and a message of strength and hope.
