Cynthia Stevenson

Cynthia was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) in December 1999 at age 40. She experienced hyper-creativity that began prior to her diagnosis. The outlets for her creativity include but are not limited to writing poetry, sewing, creating small business marketing plans, and designing plans for interior workspaces. Cynthia retired from her career as a State Farm agent in Corvallis, OR in December 2006. She and her husband have one daughter whose birth occurred the exact same month her PD symptoms began. Cynthia writes poetry to express her emotions and to clear her mind when necessary.
