Clare Andrus

I am a native of Peterborough Ontario, Canada, and grew up observing and exploring nature around me. I studied psychology at Florida International University and Architectural CAD Drafting in Austin Texas, giving me the unique ability to utilize both right brain and left brain, as a way of seeing. I have enjoyed a life of artistic sensibilities, creating with acrylics what I notice in nature and the synthesis of life experiences in abstract form.

Since being diagnosed with Parkinsons, now 2 years later, I have noticed a heightened awareness of color and the mixing of paint as I apply it to the image that I am creating. Even though my images have become smaller, they continue to be appreciated and enjoyed for their uniqueness as they relate to nature.
