Bill Bucklew

Bill learned in 2012 that he had Parkinson’s Disease, after 7 years of misdiagnosis. Immediately deciding to embrace it enabled him to engage with the community to raise awareness and research funding towards a cure and advance science by donating his body and resources to multiple clinical trials, which continue to this day.
Bill has had great success in slowing the disease’s progression through regular exercise and key lifestyle changes, along the way, challenging what the worlds foremost experts deemed possible.
Bill has walked across the United States and Great Britain, completed an Ironman and the longest ski ultramarathon, biked across the United States, run all the Worlds Major Marathons in a row, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, assembled a team of PWP to complete the grueling Blue Ridge Relay, completed 11 triathlons and more than 40 marathons.
Bill has had the great honor of traveling the world, sharing his story on the incredible impact upon his life that a positivity of purpose and holistic wellness has had. Bill lives with his wife and family in the Northern suburbs of Chicago.
