The first sign of PD back in 2013 was the loss of my handwriting. Who could ever imagine then that micrographia would become eventually the initiative to enter the magic world of painting miniatures on rocks and paper! It’s been a blessing of creativity and joy. Furthermore, it’s been therapeutic because the tremor is almost gone from my life and my hand is absolutely stable and accurate while painting.

Challenged by the presence of Parkinson’s disease in my life, I decided to spread knowledge, guidance and support to my co-patients and their caregivers. But most of all and since there’s no campaign to educate public to recognize symptoms and respect patients with PD, I have set a goal to promote a scheme of a national campaign. All the skills I have obtained through the 35 years of working in challenging environments are now dedicated to this purpose.

I ‘m a member of the Board of PAR.KIN.S.O.N. (www.parkinsonunion.gr) with people who share the same mission and work with. I ‘m always trying to be educated on patients’ advocacy issues.
