Mabel Tirado

In 2023 when I was diagnosed with Parkinson, my life suddenly changed. It was a stage of silence and adaptation, of learning to live with pauses, losses and questions. I’m currently 59 years old. Parkinson’s came into my life to change rhythms, not dreams. It altered the way my hands respond, but not the way my eyes feel. Sometimes the body hesitates, trembles or gets tired, but the desire to photograph remains intact.
Through the lens I have learned that it is not all about perfect control, but about intention.
