The Rose of Sharon
This flower is in Michele’s summer garden.
Michele Keir hasn’t used watercolors in decades. She found them difficult to control and frequently ended up with muddy colors. Although she did not end up participating, upon noticing a mention of a watercolor workshop by the Minnesota APDA, Michele was inspired to try again.
Michele proceeded to dig out old watercolor set from the 1970’s anyway and purchased some special watercolor paper. Now she is passionate about her new medium and pleased with her results. Her back pain limits her time creating and the fact that watercolors must be used quickly and have a quick cleanup is a major plus for her. A lifetime of art? The drugs that control her tremor? Whatever is behind Michele’s new success has elevated her spirit.
