Hope. Courage. Strength.

“Hope. Courage. Strength.” was created for the 2026 World Parkinson’s Congress as a visual expression of resilience and unity within the Parkinson’s community. Central to the work is the red tulip—the international symbol of Parkinson’s—representing both visibility and the quiet strength of those living with the disease.

This image blends photographic elements to move beyond documentation and into meaning. Through digital enhancement, the tulip becomes more than a symbol; it stands as a testament to perseverance, dignity, and the shared determination to continue forward with purpose.

For me, this work is both personal and collective. It honors the courage required to face Parkinson’s each day, the hope sustained through community and research, and the strength found in creativity, connection, and advocacy.
